Dr. Hoffman has conducted externships at the Veterans Administration Hospital and provided Low Vision services for the Department of Rehabilitation. |
Dr. Inouye has also obtained Board Certificate in the Treatment of Eye Disease.
Dr. Inouye's training includes internships in pediatrics, ocular disease, and geriatrics. She is a member of the American Optometric Association as well as the Sacramento Valley Optometric Society. |
Alissa Hoekstra, O.D.
Dr. Alissa Hoekstra received her undergraduate degree in Biology from California State University, Fullerton in 1999 and her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry in 2003. During optometry school, Dr. Hoekstra was involved in student government as well as the Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity. As a student Dr. Hoekstra received a number of awards for leadership and community involvement.
Dr. Hoekstra's training includes externships in low vision at the Tuscon Veterans Hospital for the Visually Impaired, Maricopa County Hospital in Phoenix, AZ, and the David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base. Dr. Hoekstra has served as the secretary and membership chair for the Sacramento Valley Optometric Society.
