Robert Hoffman, O.D.
As a student Dr. Hoffman received a number of leadership awards and was listed in Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities in both 1988 and 1989.
He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Sacramento Valley Optometric Society. He is also an active member of the Folsom Rotary Club and Folsom Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Hoffman has conducted externships at the Veterans Administration Hospital and provided Low Vision services for the Department of Rehabilitation. |
Lianne Inouye, O.D.
She is recognized internationally as a Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development
Dr. Inouye has also obtained Board Certificate in the Treatment of Eye Disease. Dr. Inouye's training includes internships in pediatrics, ocular disease, and geriatrics. She is a member of the American Optometric Association as well as the Sacramento Valley Optometric Society. |
Steven Hoffman, O.D.
Dr. Steven Hoffman received his Bachelor of Science degree from San Diego State University followed by his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University. After graduating, Dr. Hoffman completed a residency in Pediatric Optometry and Vision Therapy during which he saw patients in the Pediatric Optometry, Vision Therapy, Acquired Brain Injury, Pediatric Contact Lens, and Special Needs Services. After his residency, Dr. Hoffman served as adjunct faculty teaching lectures and precepting optometry students in the Vision Therapy and Pediatric Optometry department in Downtown Los Angeles. He then moved back to the Folsom area where he grew up and enjoys helping people with all of their visual needs.

Alissa Hoekstra, O.D.
Dr. Alissa Hoekstra received her undergraduate degree in Biology from California State University, Fullerton in 1999 and her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry in 2003. During optometry school, Dr. Hoekstra was involved in student government as well as the Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity. As a student Dr. Hoekstra received a number of awards for leadership and community involvement.
Dr. Hoekstra's training includes externships in low vision at the Tuscon Veterans Hospital for the Visually Impaired, Maricopa County Hospital in Phoenix, AZ, and the David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base. Dr. Hoekstra has served as the secretary and membership chair for the Sacramento Valley Optometric Society.

Andrew Nearing, O.D.
Dr. Andrew Nearing received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the State University of New York at Oswego and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in 2001.
Dr. Nearing’s training includes internships at Hanscom Air Force Base, The Veterans Administration Connecticut Health Care System, Optometric Associates in Vermont, and The South Boston Community Health Clinic. He furthered his education and training by completing a residency in primary eye care and ocular disease at a private ophthalmology/optometry practice in Massachusetts. Dr. Nearing also served on the Board of Directors for The Sacramento Valley Optometric Association.

Lauren Anderson, O.D.
Dr. Lauren Anderson attended the University of San Diego where she received her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry. She continued on to graduate from the State University of New York College of Optometry, in New York City. Dr. Anderson’s optometry school internships emphasized primary care, specialty contact lenses, and vision therapy. Her training also included working with ophthalmologists specializing in eye disease, cataracts, and glaucoma at Omni Eye Services in Atlanta, Georgia. After completing her optometric education, she was happy to return to her hometown in El Dorado County where she grew up. She enjoys hiking, snowboarding, biking, yoga, and spending time with her family and her cat, Toby.
Dr. Anderson is a member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, and Sacramento Valley Optometry Society.
